  1. Hi there my name is Hayley.
I have 2 patch work quilts that my great grandmother made, I have no idea about them and was wondering do you value or determine the price of them. I have no idea what to do with them so they are in storage would love to have a chat to you about them. Thank you for your time. My email is hayley_kirsch1@hotmail.com

    1. Hi Hayley, wow you have two if your great grandmothers quilts. I can’t help you with a value, I would have to do some research. But I’m guessing they are priceless. If they were mine I would have they on display in my house and brag about them to everyone who visits.
Maybe you could contact a local historical society, or an antique store, they would have a better idea about value. Sorry I can’t be more help. Nerida

  2. Hi I am Holly in California, I have lots of fabric and quilting books. I am overwhelmed after quilting and gather for 23 years I think I am over loaded I want to sell off 1/2 of all to pay for dental implants after I was hit by a car so I need to sell about $12,000 USD. I am think I have such good fabric kept in very clean tubs in smoke free no pets. So what do you think asking $5 per yard USD. I am just not sure how all the esty works and I am not so crazy about Ebay.
Any suggestions. Also I don’t blog or any social media. To old to learn .

    1. Holly, hi. I not to sure about how much you should charge, but $5US per yard sounds fair.

If you are not keen on Etsy or eBay maybe a destash Instagram account is a way to go. Lots of people have their own IG account plus a destash account. There are hash tags like #fabricdestash or #thegreatfabricdestash so people can find your destash. They will then leave their PayPal address so you can send them an invoice.

Also Facebook is full of destash pages where you can list your items for people to buy. Just search destash.

If social media is not your thing, then what about a car boot sale or markets? You could set up a shop and sell your fabric there.

      Hope these ideas help you.
