Enviro Bags

On 1 July, grocery stores in Australia had to stop providing single use plastic bags to customers. I had been making some tote bags for myself out of some groovy drill fabric I got from Spotlight in the weeks leading up to 1 July but didn’t really think too much about it.

Then about 2 days before 1 July, I thought maybe other people would like some of these tote bags I had been making for shopping bags. So, I sat down at the sewing machine and staring making enviro grocery shopping bags. Before I knew it I orders for 12 bags. Eek! I spent one whole weekend just sewing enviro shopping bags to make up the orders. My sister is still waiting for me to fulfil her order.

This is the first lot of bags I made and sold them all to a client who previously commissioned a quilt off me. Thanks Bec for your support.

If you are interested my enviro shopping bags are available at:
