Well another year and another quiling retreat. Had another great weekend away with my quilting chicks. Went back to Stacey’s at the Gap. This is out third year in a row going the Stacey’s.
All packed and ready to go.
This year I was working on trying to get a quilt top finished for the 2015 pink ribbon quilt raffle. But unfortunately I did not have a pattern and spent as much time unpicking as I did sewing. So didn’t get my quilt top finished.
Anyway, below is some work in progress shots of the quilt I am trying to make.
This is as much of the quilt a got completed and wasn’t even half finished 😦
Again on the weekend we did our usual fat quarter swap, secret Santa style and a lot of fun was had by all. We managed to borrow a selfie stick so had a lot of fun playing with new technolgy.
This year was our first year at Stacey’s in June and it was pretty cool. Friday and Saturday we had gorgeous days and it got down to about 4oC in the morning. But Sunday morning we had a cool change come through, oh my goodness it was cold all day long. We had a frost in the morning and had ice on the windscreens of the cars.
Some other scenes of Stacey’s soundaroundings.
Looking forward to the 2016 retreat ladies.
